I offer Substantive/Structural/Line Editing for fiction and non-fiction projects. The majority of my clients are represented by agents and are under contract with a publishing house. I do have a soft spot for first time novelists and will work with unagented writers if I feel their work has merit and commercial viability.

If you are seriously navigating the publication process for the first time it can be overwhelming. On a time-available basis I am available for phone consultations to give advice on a range of topics including but not limited to: what makes a query letter successful, what makes a project saleable, and how acquisition decisions are made in-house at three big publishers.

Although I don’t offer written critiques I can discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your project based on your description of it and offer strategies to make it as appealing as possible to agents and editors.

Consultations are 1 hour long.
